"Saul is the man! I invited him to come bid on an installation of 15 shutter panels. He came on time, measured every window and talked me through my options. He was both very professional and friendly. He delivered a bid shortly after and the price was very fair. I contracted his business by providing an initial deposit (required since they have to manufacture custom sizes). He came again to take more detailed measurements and discuss a few details.

I had a set of curved bay windows that were pretty challenging to get right with the framing already in place, but Saul said it would be no problem and did his best to give me visual using his samples. Once the order was placed, it only took two weeks for the shutters to be ready. They looked amazing. Saul and his team came shortly after to install them and was prepared with all the equipment to keep my floors and walls clean, which was awesome. They finished in just one day (but a very long day) and the results were better than I even imagined.

If only Saul and his team did bathrooms and kitchen remodel because I sorely need someone like him to help finish our other projects!

 "Saul and his team installed plantation shutters and top-down, bottom-up blinds throughout our 2400 sq. ft. house. They did a fabulous job! Saul provided us with some of the best customer service we've ever experienced from any home contractor.

I obtained bids from 3 plantation shutter companies (Costco and 1 other highly rated company on Yelp) and Saul was the only one who impressed us. He came prepared with sample materials/ brochures and his prices were very competitive. We even upgraded to the bass wood plantation shutters and we couldn't be happier with the quality.

During install, I noticed one of the shutter louvers had a minor, natural dent. I mentioned it to Saul and he offered to return and replace the louver free of charge. I didn't expect him to do so, but sure enough, he returned a few weeks later to replace the louver.

Simply amazing. If you're looking for quality window coverings, you 'better call Saul."

Pricing: I called a handful of shutter vendors around SF and Saul was the most responsive and offered the shortest processing time. Price-wise, Plantation Shutters was on the lower end and/or comparable with some other suppliers. Saul said they're able to offer preferential pricing and fast turnaround because he works directly with the manufacturers rather than acting as a reseller. They don't hold any windows in stock (all shutters are custom measured and cut) so they also are able to save costs from storage and inventory.

Customization: When I saw the model he brought during the measurements, I asked if he could hide certain wood seams and he said no problem. Outcome looks beautiful! Saul also gave us detailed recommendations on which sections of the shutter frame to trim. During installation, we found out one of my windows wasn't aligned to the ceiling (my building was built in 1900...) which resulted in the shutter looking very crooked. He worked with his team to adjust the frame multiple times until it looked visually indistinguishable!

Service: What really made Plantation Shutters standout was their customer service. After I paid the initial deposit, two weeks passed without me hearing back from Saul. I had a long business trip coming up and needed everything to be installed and completed before then. When I called Saul to let him know my deadline, he arranged to have the manufacturer expedite the process, drove to LA himself to collect the shutters, and came over three days later to put everything in.

After they were done, Saul thought something could be better, and he's sending his team in two weeks to make make something better, best. They settle for nothing short of perfection when it comes to their work and it's so refreshing and encouraging to do business with a company like this. Bryan and his team did an AMAZING job installing cell shades on my skylights. It's so much cooler and livable in my loft now!
